The Cute Trio

Talking about three way project I was always expecting to have one with friends. As I already have had an amazing groupbuild with all ya fellas on our favourite topic, I hope to do something different and maybe more interesting, when I happened to know that my buddy Gio and I are both into the Italian cuties I realized that it was the time~

And the real surprise was that we're quite honored to have Gridgirl as our partner to go with this together. I guess most of you have already known how good she is at bringing a life to this cute thing, I just hadn't gotten over my amazement from her stunning 500 yet, and this time she's back again with an abarth 695ss~

Since Crazy Gio's thread could possibly go to the motorsports section and Gridgirl and I are making street legal cars, this thread is considered to be a threads link combination and discussing field.

Now here comes the entries list:

auw12: Abarth 695ss
gionic: Fiat 500 barchetta
Gridgirl: Abarth 695ss

Thank you very much for looking guys! If you have any questions or comments please feel free!

Re: The Cute Trio

Wow: thanks Tang for the cute "cute logo" LOL. This shared thread is really something magic, one of those thing that happen by case...

Ok: I wanted to show my plan: my job is also my entry in another forum's contest, I done just a PSD rough of what I have in mind:

A barchetta starting from a stock 500F, widened a bit, with a tuned Abarth twin, Abarth rims (if someone mean those of X1/9, awesome 4 spoke's stuff) and with a "trackday livery" a little less "business oriented" than my recent seven

See you here soooooon

Re: The Cute Trio

Gio PMed me a week or two ago, wondering if I wanted to build along. It sounded cool- I (of course! ) got the 695 as soon as it was rereleased. But what to do with it...?

A little searching for pics was all I needed for inspiration. I came across some tuner pages for 500's. One pic of a tiny drilled disc brake for a 695 was all it took.

I've already built the stock 500, so this one is going to be 'tuned'- after all, Abarth was a tuner. The engine is going to get the Weber that Tamiya should have included but didn't. And of course I'm sure I'll find some other fun bits to add to it.

Thanks for the idea and invitation, guys! It's always fun to see more cute cars here.

Wow, couldn't agree more. Let's see, 3 of some of the finest builders here and a car I adore. I almost feel like I'm in 2001: A Space Odyssey about to watch all the pretty lights.

Re: The Cute Trio

I will be following this with great interest...
I love little cars but my hands don't... giving me all the resistance they can when I try to make 'em. But at least I can watch you three masters blow my mind
