HELP!!2002 Oldsmobile Alero will not start?

I have a 2002 Oldsmobile Alero, this morning it started fine, maybe 2 blocks down the road it died out on me, while this was happening i noticed the TRAC OFF light come on. I tried to re-start it but no luck, someone suggested it might be something with the fuel pump. When i tried to restart again a few hours later it cranks but no start, and the ENGINE SOON and TRAC OFF lights stay on. Any suggestions?

Welcome to AF, you cannot fix this stranded in the street, does it have fuel pressure, spark, does it turn over strong ,what are the codes that will point your to a problem?

Based on your last statement why are you not getting this to a shop, what expectations do you have of fixing this on your own?

When the shop gets it they will hook up a scanner and read the codes that made the lights come on. Write them down and post them here. They will look like this "P0141" for example. A letter followed by 4 numbers.
