Welcome Grandpa Tom !!

Your backyard mechanic should be able to isolate the problems with the front springs. It might just be a cheap relay, air solenoid, tubing problem, or any number of simple things.

ArnottIndustries has a few diagrams that might help:
Here's one: http://www.arnottindustries.com/mana....asp?fileId=24

AmericanAirSuspension has some things too:
http://www.americanairsuspension.com...ucts.php?cat=7

SuncoreIndustries is another one:
http://www.suncoreindustries.com/lincolncont9502.asp

Strutmasters is in the business as well:
http://www.strutmasters.com/catalog.php?cat=53

Also, some folks recommend Ebay once you know what you need.

Our resident Junkyarddoggie (Mike) also has many of these parts.

Search the other posts for air suspension in this forum too. Here's a good one:
http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...Air+Suspension

And my personal web page has your Factory Service Manual (for that backyard mechanic)

I saw some diagnostic procedures on one of the vendors sites, and not I can't find the link. I posted it in one of these threads earlier too Maybe the Navigator forum....

I found that list of diagnostic procedures too. It was from American Air Suspension, here: http://www.americanairsuspension.com...ONT%20AREA.htm

You will be downloading 197+ megabytes from a free hosting site where I've uploaded my manuals. The download links are on my personal web page. Click my name (towncar) above and select 'visit towncar's homepage' from the popup menu. Once you are at my web page you will see a section dedicated to my manuals including download/install instructions.

Is your Check Engine Light on? You can have fault codes read at most popular parts stores or just get a cheap OBDii scanner. With this information you might be able to ID the trouble with your misfires.

Honestly I haven't had experience with o2 Sensors yet, and haven't read enough about them to give advice.

I would however double check all the fuel paths to be sure there's no leaking anywhere.

Re: My 1996 Lincoln Continental

are they pumping up at all. if not run a hot wire to the orange wire on the silonoid at the strut bag that will open the relay. then let the compressor pump it from there once you get it where you want it take the hot wire off. that will close the silonoid.
