accel ignition coils
so i am getting a set of these for next to nothing. anybody heard anything good or bad about them?

The factory GM Wastespark coils provide plenty of good strong spark. In my opinion your wasting your money.

Unless your coils are bad, I agree I wouldn't waste the money. The coils won't make much difference however better spark plug wires will help especially if you have a lot of miles on your stockers. Accel does make pretty good stuff. I have a set of there 8.8 wires on my 69 camaro. MSD is the best in my opinion. I have msd distributor in my 69 camaro and my 96 RS camaro has msd coils and wires on it. Taylor has decent wires too. I put taylor spiro pro wires on my 02GT and it ran smoother with a little better throttle response. Of course I was replacing old high mileage wires, but they still deliver more energy to the plugs than the stockers.
