2200 head gasket
my friend has a sunfire with the same exact engine as my car, the 2200, and its sitting in an apartment parking stall 40 miles south of our town, the car needs a head gasket, and we have no way to tow it here, so we are basically stuck with my toolbox, my socket set, and an apartment parking spot to fix this head gasket, the problem is i have NO idea how to do this, and i need as much help as possible
has anyone ever done this on this engine? about how long will it take?? (im expecting all day) will i need to buy more then just the head gasket for this repair? i mean like will i break any seals that will need to be replaced?? im assuming ill need to bring coolant and oil, any special tools i will need? any tools i should have to make the job easier?? this will be the most "involved" engine repair i will have ever done and i know pretty much nothing about it at this point, and searching through these forums and my haynes manual hasnt helped much any input would be appreciated

Re: 2200 head gasket
You'll need a new set of head bolts, since they are torque-to-yield. You'll need a torque wrench, gasket scraper, bolt thread sealant, head gasket set (including the intake and intake plenum gaskets, exhaust manifold gasket, thermostat gasket, head gasket), gasket sealant, a stone set to true the head and deck, a large (forget the size) open end wrench for the coolant line at the water outlet, and probably a few other things I'm forgetting. A roll of masking tape and a marker to identify hoses and wiring connectors might be helpful, as well a a "before" photo in case you forget some items on assembly.
