Brake light wire from pedal?

I'm hooking up an electric brake unit to a 2000 Ram Van w/ v-8. I've hooked up dozens of similar units which require one wire to be connected with the wire from the switch on the brake pedal that activates the stop lights. This switch has seven wires, one pink w/stripe which is hot all the time, and six which don't get power when I depress the pedal. Three of them are white, one black, one yellow with a stripe, and one light blue. The three white wires and the black are heavier, probably 14 gauge, while the others are lighter. I just did this on a 1997 Dodge Ram pickup without any problems, but it only had one wire in and one out. What's up with this thing? Thanks.

Re: Brake light wire from pedal?

The pink with the dark blue stripe is the hot. All 3 whites are brake light wires. One goes to the turn signal switch and the other two each go to one of the high mount center brake lights. The other three probably have to do with anti-lock brakes, cruise control release, or a factory wired tow package.
