98 Lumina Transmission Problem...

Okay this is kind of hard to explain...

I am driving on the interstate on cruise going 70 MPH. My service engine light comes on.. So I go and get my codes read and the guy at Auto Zone said that my transmission is slipping and/or shifting hard in "high" 4th gear.. He checks the trasmission fluid and he says it is low.. So he suggested using Lucas transmission treatment stuff.. Used a little over half the bottle and everything is okay for a couple of days.. Now the light is back on, but my car seems be doing just fine... It doesn't seem to be shifting out of the ordinary. And I don't see any leakage underneath the car.. Can someone please help me out... Thanks

MSimpson

Where is the drain plug for the 98 Lumina Transmission? Need to do a flush but can't find the plug & I don't want to have to drop the whole pan.

Personally if the light is gone and it shifts good, I'm satisfied.
