2000 Grand Am GT1 Performance

I just got the car saturday with only 45,000 miles i am looking to upgraded it so i want to know about everything. Intake, exhaust, performance chips exc.. also where to get a cheap ram air hood. The orginal owner put a plain hood on it due to too many dents. I did not get the car in time to get the hood. it has the 3.4l my buddy keeps telling me about the SLP exhaust but i don't see it on there website. Left me know i don't want it fart can style i want a rumble.

Re: 2000 Grand Am GT1 Performance

Well thier is no SLP any more, just the Borla @ $650-800.

Custom is the way most have been going.
Around $250-350 at a muffler shop.

A CAI would be a good start too!
Ebay, customintakes, sells the CAI the cheapest.

In the grand am forums we have a thread,
OEM, Performance Parts Sources it has several links for parts.

Parts for your car web site has the only PCM made by DHP also Muzzlymotors sports(MMS) has them too. $100 + $100 core you get back when you return your old one.
they also have ram air hoods about $650.

Performance isnt cheap!!
MMS also has performance heads, cams, intakes, injectors etc etc. Thier are also super chargers and turbos if you can find them, around $4k though + set up and tuning.

If you have any other questions fire away!

Sorry for the de lay, holidays and all

I have a flo master 80 series #42583 on both my GA's.
I like the low sound of the Flo better then the Magnaflo's.
