i dont know how to do it but the dillshmacks at jiffy lube can do it for like 75...if they can do it, id assume its pretty easy...unless they use special tools and such.

i never heard of an auto grinding, weird.

its easy to change the filter. just unbolt the drain pan, unbolt the filter. bolt on hte new filter, bolt back on the tranny pan. make sure you torque down to the right torque setting. fill it back up

but the jiffy lube guys also flush the torque converter i believe, thats alittle harder to do. if you just take off the pan and put it back on, theres still all the old tranny fluid in the torque converter.

to flush the toruq converter, you need to take off the trans cooler lines, one line flows tranny fluid and the other sucks in tranny fluid. run the car and as trnany fluid comes out, put tranny fluid back in. and do this till you add about 4 quarts, then stop put the lines back on. then check the tranny fluid level. oh you do this after you replace the filter

check your tranny stick and see if it's chewed up, if it is, u put the stick back on an angle and the stick is being grinded........it happens as i've seen it alot of time.........u would need to flush out the fluid......

honda got a mesh wire inside the transmission, i'm pretty sure they dont actually have a filter. all u really need is to drain and fill, u can just run some fluid thru it if u want to flush...........

u can probably do it yourself in like 20 min, it's not really alot of work (just 1 plug), plus it's alot cheaper.

try using some slick 50 in ur tranny as i found it helped alot

go outside right now and check your transmission fluid! if you don't know where the dipstick is, look it up in your owner's manual. mine had the same problem and i got mine changed. but i waited so long to change it that i had to get a 'power flush' and that costed me 150$, but i still have my transmission :o
