corvette value

ok so ive heardthat corvettes only hadthe front and rear chrome bumpers until 1974, in 1975 they only had front chrome, and in 1976 they had no chrome bumpers. So i also heard that your corvette will have so much more calue if it was 1974 and prior due to the chrome bumpers. is this true?

Re: corvette value

Actually the last year for chrome front bumpers was 1972.

'73's have soft body-color nose and chrome rear bumpers. Also first year for radial tires.

'74's have no chrome, body color front and rear.

1970 and earlier are prized by some buyers because it was last year for high-compression (premium gas) engines and less smog equipment. Catalytic converters came along a couple of years later, not sure exactly when.
