02 Caravan Rear Drum Springs

Hello,

I just replaced the rear dums and shoes on my 02. Is there 3 return springs? small black on, red one in the middle, and the long one above the adjuster?

I've got it all together but when stopping there is a grinding type noise on both sides. It's hard to describe here.

Any ideas?

Not sure about the springs but, the grinding noise is not uncommon after a pad change. If you keep hearing it more than 100 maybe 150 miles afterwords or it gets worse, you might want to have a look see.

Maybe it's just the pads conforming to the drums. It's almost like a scapeing. I've had it apart several times but can't seem to find anything wrong.

I'll update after driving it for a week.

It's fixed.... I needed to adjust the pads further and drive it a ways. Van stops like new and no noise!
