Won't shift higher than 2nd gear!!
I have a '94 Chevy S-10 Blazer 4X4 it has about 157k on it and is having transmission trouble.
 Its an automatic but wont shift higher than 2nd gear and when I get to speeds of about 35mph or higher it gets loud and scary. I dont want to spend $1000  to get it fix, I'm handy, and I have my bro in law that is too... how can we fix this transmission!?!!?

try replacing a switch on the inside of the trans by pulling the pan.
