b18c engine into a 95 Civic CX easily
I was reading some of the posts that were on the forum and was wondering what engine comes in the 95 civic cx. I was also wondering if you can just "drop in" the b18c engine like you can in other civic's (si dx)

A 95 Civic CX has the D15B8 (70hp). You can't just drop in a B18C engine like you can other d series motors (92-95: si=d16z6, dx&lx=d15b7, vx=d15z1). You need a B series hyrdo (or cable w/ conversion) trans (preferably the GSR's Y80....or if you've got a lot of money the ITR's S80 w/ helical LSD). The motor mounts off of the B18C should work, but I believe that you need the rear mount off of the 99/00 Civic Si. You will also need the P72 OBDI GSR ecu. You will need to wire in the VTEC as well. Do a search for this...and try www.honda-tech.com for some good info as well.
