Welcome to AF

IT sounds to me that you have a bad blower motor resistor. It controls all speeds but high (which routes all power through the relay independent of the resistor.).

Re: Vents only work on high!!

Ahhh. I gots ya. The resistor only works for the lower speeds, and the highest speed does not use the resistor. Ok, now where do i find the blower motor resistor? Under the passanger side dash somewhere? and how much would this blower motor resistor cost around??

Ohhh one more thing. How hard is this to do with just basic hand tools, If i know what im doing.

Thanks

Re: Vents only work on high!!

It is located in the heater box, above the passenger's footwell next to the blower motor itself, and is easily replaced with just hand tools. For reference, the AC-Delco part number is 15-8599 (GM#52473132). It'll cost you about $22 at a dealer, less at an AC-Delco retailer if you have one in your area. here's a link to AC-Delco's website picture, so you know what you're looking for.

Not a problem Tommio, and thanks for letting us know it worked. We like happy endings.
