bypass thingy?

I don't know cars all too well but I am going to try to explain this as best as i can...if it doesn't seem to make sense im sorry lol. My shifting and clutch is acting a bit strange (clutch engagement point gets higher after driving for 5 mins, rough getting in/out of gear) I had someone take a look at it and he said that when someone did the 6-bolt swap on my engine they forgot to switch out some sort of bypass line thing (???) so that every time i shift through 1-4 gear it rubs on the line, the one who did the swap knew that it was going to rub onto the line so they put something around it so that it doesn't wear it down. what line is he possibly talking about? i'd ask him but i lost my phone and his number and i don't wanna pay a different mechanic to tell me the same thing lol. I'm sorry i wish i could explain this a whole lot better lol.........

::: When I shift "A" moves and rubs onto "B"..notice the blue pad thing around it..whoever did this knew it would rub onto that. I think this is the reason for my clanky arse shifting. Anyone know what this line is and which one would be proper for my car? thanks:::
