Rattle in dash - any other ideas
I have read the fix for the rattle in the dash but the fix did not do anything for the rattle I am experiencing. Does anyone have any other ideas besides the bolt on the top of the dash. Mine sounds like it is coming from inside somewhere on the passenger side. I have taken the whole dash apart and can find nothing loose, like it is coming from inside one of the components in that area. It is a very metallic harsh sounding rattle as well and seems like it is getting more and more loose. I have to say if I can't find the rattle I may go crazy or just have to buy a higher power sound system. It really is bad when going over any pavement bumps. Any suggestions anybody? Thanks for your help.

Re: Rattle in dash - any other ideas
i can remember when I had my squeak in the dash. I tighten the bolts, sprayed down the front of the dash/window with silicon spray so it would run down into the back. crawled under it and sprayed. Nothing worked. Drove me nuts for about 3 months. Then it just went away.
Right now the drivers side rear corner of my bumper rattles, it has been doing it for about 6 months. When I finally checked into it had rub the paint of and part of the body and was rusting. I trimmed the plastic back but it still has not helped. The next step is to remove the whole dang thing. If I wedge an old sock in it it stops rattling. The new Toyota FJ is looking pretty sexy .....
