2001 Sunfire Won't start

My 2001 pontiac sunfire (standard) won't start all the time. Sometimes it starts just fine and sometimes you turn the key and nothing happens, engine doesnt turn over, no click. The only thing that happens is the radio and lights come on. I bought a brand new starter and relay and still the same problem. The car will start if you push it etc but turning the key only works from time to time. Any suggestions would be really appreciated.

Thanks.
Alli

Assuming of coarse that you are pushing the clutch all the way to the floor while attempting to start. It could be a faulty neutral safety switch or possibly a bad ignition switch

check your battery cables/terminals take them off clean out the inside of them freeing them of corrosion and then try it my friends truck and my old jetta had that problem due to not getting power from the battery
