just bought a 2005 lancer es have some ??

i want to add a turbo and some wheels to it to get rid of the alloy wheels i want to know if a 2005 evo turbo (the whole setup) would fit on it and if so where could i buy one can i get one from mitsubishi them selves or does anyone know what turbo came on the 2005 evos.

Also would i have to do anything else to the engine or the turbo it self or would it just be a 100% bolt on no problems at all?

second question if i can't get a evo turbo does anyone know any good aftermarket ones that were designed for lancers? are parts swapable between evos and ES body wise hoods wings skirts all that stuff.

also from the 120 hp that comes on the 2005 lancer ES if i turbo it how much hp could i get if i use the evo turbo (if possible) or if i use an after market i was looking at one that said a 40 to 60 % gain but thats still not breaking 200hp which the evo is around 276 but is AWD) how much toruqe and hp could the front wheel drive lancer ES take? and could i convert it to AWD over time?

You should do some reading and research on this subject. There are many different things between the turbo and non-turbo models. Everybody assumes its a simple bolt on, but there is so much more to it. Your non-turbo internals aren't designed for boost, so they won't take very much before needing upgraded. I would assume no more than 6psi which would probably put you somewhere around 180ish-200ish hp with an evo16g turbo and front mount intercooler... Of course you will need to upgrade your fuel system and need some type of tuning/fuel management device for it...

As far as the tranny... I'm not sure how well built the non-turbo trannys are. But just because it's an automatic, it shouldn't be looked down upon. Automatics are more consistent at the track and you never have to worry about missing a gear. Throw in a better torque converter and add a shift kit to it and I don't see why it wouldn't be good to go...

You may want to look into these kits also...

Road Race Engineering knows their stuff, so I am sure they have some nice kits put together for you non-turbo guys.

Re: just bought a 2005 lancer es have some ??

Well... let's see now...

Buy a Lancer 2005 ES... upgrade to Turbo, but first replace pistons, crank, and bearings to take extra torque. Also need to upgrade exhaust and fuel injection system, including fuel pump. Then you will need to upgrade ECU to cope with turbo functions. If you want to match an EVO then you will need an intercooler and body work to suit, and cooling system will have to be upgraded also.

And then upgrade to AWD... that means new trans, convert from automatic to manual with clutch, new rear end, two more differentials, plus all the other stuff to make it fit.

Why not save yourself a bunch of time, money and grief and just buy an EVO?
