Exclamation Weird Radio Problem '01 Galant HELP!

The other day, while cleaning the car, I had the key in the ACC position for about three or four hours to listen to the radio. The radio suddenly stopped working. The locks also suddenly wouldn't work with the car off. Later that day, I started the car and it started just fine. The locks worked when the car was on, but again not when the car was off. Also, as soon as I started the car and turned on the radio, the radio made a weird humming type noise, and then it asked me for the code. I entered it, and it worked. Every time I start the car now I have to reenter the code. I took the car to my local mechanic, and he replaced some wiring. Now the locks work when the car is off, but the radio still requires me to enter the code every time I turn the car on.

Anyone understand what's going on? I'd love to be able to tell the mechanic exactly what needs to be done, as he's puzzled. Don't want to have to pay the dealer too.

Thanks!

Perhaps the battery is dyeing and drops voltage too low to radio also check fuses to radio acc and battery supply
