can under vehicle?
On a 2002 ranger I have a can about the size of a soup can under there on a bracket. Is that some sort of an anode for corrosion or what? No one seems to know if it for corrosion or vibration or what.I have noticed it servicing it and I'm sure there are no wires or anything on it.I can ask the dealer when I go sometime but the last time I didn't ask a mech but the office guys were clueless.

Re: can under vehicle?
No the ff is along the left frame rail like the 93 I had. I will have to see again but I think the bracket that holds it is on or near the trans mount.

Re: can under vehicle?
haha, the oil filter looks like a soup can to me on these rangers. I see mine on the right side by the header flange.
*location: sitting in vehicle* Go get a $10 to $20 dollar oil filter change! thats something you should do regularly anyways. every 3 to 5 thousand miles |

Re: can under vehicle?
There is a CARBON CANISTER on most vehicles too. That is a smog related item. That looks like a soup can to me also
