temperature gauge needle 03 galant

the gauge needle used to shake quickly when i go over over bumps like it wasnt working but now it doesnt move at all.......is it that the gauge is bad??, thermostat is stuck??, a simple fuse or wire went bad???, or could it be something else???
the car runs fine, the a/c still works great, no fluid leaks, radiator is full. PLEASE HELP!

Locate the temp sender in the engine bay check the wire is still connected if it isnt re conect it if it is connected ground the wire to engine block the needle on gauge should go to hot if not check wiring to gauge of gauge is faulty
