Keyless Remote Entry stopped working
I have a 2000 Oldsmobile Alero that I bought recently. It came with keyless remote entry. It worked for about a month and now has stopped working. I don't think it worked that good to start with, as I could only use it from about 15 feet away. I'm wondering what do I need to buy/fix to have it work again. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Re: Keyless Remote Entry stopped working
Sounds like your battery has died.
Pretty cheap at walmart and other stores like that. the remote pops apart from the bottom corner.

Re: Keyless Remote Entry stopped working
Thanks. I replaced the battery and it's still not working. I opened it up and the metal piece that holds the battery in place has come off on one side.

Re: Keyless Remote Entry stopped working
In most cases, you can press down the broken connection and dab a little superglue to secure it. Once you change the battery, hold down LOCK & UNLOCK on the remote for 7 seconds to resync it to the vehicle.

That didn't work either, but thanks for all your help. I decided to buy a new one off ebay and that's working good. Thanks again tho!
