Unhappy 2000 PONTIAC GRAND AM SE1/shifts roughly from 1st to 2nd gear

I have a 2000 Pontiac Grand am se and I noticed a month after driving my vehicle that it shifts roughly from 1st to 2nd gear..this is an issue that I have been having for a while...and it is really worrying me does anybody have any suggestions on what this might be?? Also a few months ago I had to purchase a new tire (passenger rear side)and have it put on...and later on that day I noticed that I had 3 service lights pop on at the same time (service vehicle soon, ABS, and TRAC OFF). Its wierd b/c at times when i started my car they won't come on at all...and sometimes they do pop on. Now they are on most of the time...and i think it is kind of coincendental that shortly after getting a new tire put on my passenger rear side that all 3 of those service lights would pop on all at the same time...does anybody have any idea what is going on??!!??
