Lightbulb old fan swith wire burnt up that was jumped out from the fan relay to the pcmign fuse

If you connect it back the way it was the car will stay turn on. It's ready to start even with the key out. plus the switch doesn't even work now. I'm going to pull the fan tomarrow and trace the wires. how can i hook it up correctly and did I mess the computer up aswell?
THANKS

Re: old fan swith wire burnt up that was jumped out from the fan relay to the pcmign fuse

cooling fan failures are a common problem, most of us just chalk it up and run a switch allowing us to control the fan manually. In my opinion, you should replace the switch with a heavier duty one, and run the wire directly to the battery instead of the fuse panel.
