I have a 93 Olds Silhouette. When I drive it around town (3-5 miles) it works just fine.
When I take it out on the road, after about 10 miles or so, it dies as soon as the engine slows down with braking, like when coming to the stop sign. It starts right up again but, as soon as I put in it gear it dies. I brought it to a garage and they put it on whatever they use for diagnostics and absolutely nothing showed up. When this first started happening, it was not overheating or anything. Lately, the temp gauge does seem to be up though. Another problem that may or may not be related, the speedometer will occassionaly just quit working. And my ABS light has been on forever. I'm open to any suggestion but please, don't make them too technical. |

Re: 93 Silhouette Dies after about 10 miles.
'93 i'm guessing 3.8 motor. have you ever put a throttle position sensor on it? or it could be something electrical getting hot .
did they pressure check the fuelpump? some codes should pop up after it does it......
