My car radio wont work

I currently have a tape player in my t-bird. I've tried installing a cd player but something went wrong. I took the cd player out and put the tape player back in and now the radio on the tape player wont work, the time doesnt show, none of the buttons work, radio stations wont come in, but the wierd thing is the tape player is the only thing that works. SO WHATS WRONG?

I don't have any information for the '93, but my '95 service manual shows the radio as being fed via two fuses - fuse #12 (40 amps) in the Power Distribution Box, and the ACC fuse (10 amps) in the Primary Junction Block, so you might check and see if you've blown one of them.
