2001 Suburban Power Door lock problems

Just a few minutes ago, the horn alarm started sounding off. The reason the alarm went off was because the power door locks unlocked all by themselves. I don't have keyless entry installed so it seemed weird. As I was sitting in my suburb trying to figure out what was going on, the door locks started to go crazy! Lock, unlock, lock, unlock. Then it would stop for a few and start up again. I also heard a what seemed like an electrical crackle coming from the vacinity of the interior fuse box. It was hard to pin point the exact location of the crackle but maybe someone can provide some ideas on what I should check before taking it to the dealer to fix.
