Another VW - "Sunrise" Squareback
After I posted my latest drawing, the Patty Wagen, I realized it's been awhile since I've been here and I didn't post my second drawing, the Sunrise Squareback. This was another rendering I did for a customer at Airkooled Kustoms. I did the vectors in Illustrator and then pulled them into channels in Photoshop for fills and shading. I love the subtle transitions you can get in Photoshop, but it's hard to correct mistakes or make big changes.
![]() I should probably go back and work on the wheels to get the chrome to look better. I wish there was some way to capture the true radiance of this paintjob in Photoshop! It's like a bright orange with a yellow pearl on top and it just glows in the sunlight. Here's the original: ![]() And a better shot of the paintjob: <drool>
