Advise please
I bought this 96 jeep grand cherokee limited with a 5.2L. It was recovered after being stolen. The vehicle was running before it was stolen.
The damage is to the ignition where the key goes in. I put a screwdriver into where the ignition key used to be and turned it and I only get a click from the starter. I am trying to get it started to see if there was engine damage etc.
Does anyone know how to get this started without an ignition? or at least see if its possible to turn over. Could the theives have just broken the ignition that is preventing the starter from cranking over the engine, is there a failsafe with Jeep that prevents it from starting once the ignition is broken.
Would appreciate any help.
