1993 Century - climate control $.02 clip broke!

I've got a 1993 Buick Century, 30,000 miles. The cheap, tiny clip that forces a multi-fingered pressure washer against the rotary vacuum selector, broke.

It looks like this:

Of course, I have been completely unable to find a replacement, and it would seem insane to have to junk the control module for this cheap little clip (which would probably break again if I pulled something out of a junkyard).

Does anyone have a supplier for these? Ideally, it would be a $.03 METAL clip, which wouldn't break.

I can take pictures if it would be helpful.

Thanks!

Re: 1993 Century - climate control $.02 clip broke!

Go to a local boneyard and get the whole Heater control head.....Only this time, be carefull and squeeze the tabs Gently when removing the Vacumn line mutli connector from the Heater control head......."Pressure Washer" ??? What is that? In order to remove the cables from the control head, you have to remove the round metal retaining clip (Called a "Fisheye Clip" at GM) from the Heater control head pins. Taking a pair of needle nose pliers and squeezing these metal fisheye clips will break them in half however, you wont be able to reuse them! You should be able to find some of these clips in those little "Help" packages at a local Autozone or Advanced Auto..... Then you squeeze the plastic cable retainer clips in a little, and the cable will release from the snap in holder and you can remove it. This will get you the control head out of a donor car from the Boneyard at least. You can also gently squeeze the "Fisheyes" on the control head on your current car and Gently pull up on them until they come off, in order to reuse them on the new control head. When re-installing them on the new Heater control head, use a deepwell 7mm Socket to press them back onto the stud. If you can take pics....DO SO and post them here! I used to install these things all day long on the Assembly line at GM.
