1996 Ford Contour PCV Valve

Would a faulty (clogged) PCV valve cause oil to shoot into the air filter and past that into the mass air sensor and into the intake? That is my problem...oil all over the intake system

Doesn't hurt to change it plus its only like $4 tops. While vehicle is running pull out dipstick and see if air is being pushed out of there.
