pls help with check engine light tried alot of things p0740 l@@K

I really would like some input or advice on this issue I am having. My check engine light came on, had the code read and it came up tcc circuit malfunction p0740. It can mean a few things but first off I dropped the small pan on my 98 bmw 318i auto and the fluid was a bit dirty and the solenoid was changed and I changed the fluid in both pans with a new tranny filter. The tranny is more responsive and shifts well and engages in all gears well but my check engine light keeps coming up with the same code. I reset the code but keeps coming back.
in addition I changed the main relay because I had a spare to see if it was a signal issue, looked @ the wires @ the dme and they looked fine and I checked all the wiring on the valve bodies to every solenoind to make sure they were good. What else can be making this light come on. The fluid is not low, is it a tranny computer issue anything else*******************************pls help
