Re: blazer wont start

You need 3 things to run.
1. Compression
2. Fuel. Check pressure.
3. Spark. At the right time.

I have a ’98 Blazer that did that exact same thing about 2 weeks ago. I thought it had good spark, too, but I was grounding the spark plug to the battery negative terminal to check spark and it had good spark like that. Make sure when you check spark to ground the spark plug to the engine (preferably the same spot as the coil is grounded). My ’98 had a very weak spark when I grounded it there. If you’re not sure if you have enough spark you might try VERY CAREFULLY misting some gas down the throttle bores while cranking it over. If it has spark it will either try to run, backfire, or something, if it doesn’t do anything you probably don’t have enough spark. (My Blazer’s problem ended up just being the coil wire)
If it runs fine when you’re misting fuel into it then it’s some kind of fuel problem.
If it backfires, sputters, ect., I’d check timing first and if that is off it means that either just your distributor spun for some reason or your timing chain jumped some teeth on the crank or cam sprockets.
Check these and see what happens.

Re: blazer wont start

Thank you for you help. I checked the spark and it is good. I also can see the fuel spraying in the throtle body injector. it seems that it is a constant stream. in stead of pulsing. is that the way it is supose to be?

Re: blazer wont start

Is it a stream like a water faucet or a spray pattern?
Could it be flooded? plugs wet?
Spark to all plugs? And at right time?
Put a timing light on it and see where no 1 cylinder is firing.
Are the plugs good and are they wet or dry?
Have you got good compression?
