i have a 1997 Dodge Grand Caravan. The abs light and check engine light came on. All my dashboard gages do not work now. I cannot see how much gas i have or how fast im going, what gear i am in,etc. PLEASE HELP!

First, I would take it to Autozone and have them read the error codes with a scanner. It's free. Your check engine light is telling you an error code has been stored.
A common cause for your common problem is bad solder joints on the instrument cluster circuit board or it's connection. One indication of that is the gauges coming back to life when you smack the top of the dash. Try it. There are many posts concerning your problem all over the forum.
