trans or engine problem

I have n 89 grand marquis and i got it from my grandma. She said that it got recalled for the trans and it go replaced. At around 40 mph the car starts to jerk a little and goes away when i slow down. It also has a VERY rough idle im thinking that there is a miss or the injectors are bad if somone could help me out with this that would be great
