2005 radio locked help!!!

I Have A 2005 Monte Carlo Lt Radio Displays Locked.

Someone has likely enabled the "theft lock" feature on your stereo. Basically, whenever it's enabled, it will go into a locked state anytime the battery power has been interrupted. If YOU locked the stereo, you should have the code to unlock it, and instructions for this procedure are in the owners manual. However, it sounds like the stereo was locked without you knowing about it. Possibly the previous owner enabled the feature. If you could contact the previous owner and get the code, you should be able to unlock the system. However, if you can't contact the previous owner and you weren't the person who locked it, you'll likely have to go to a chevrolet dealer to have it unlocked. I'm unaware of any way around this; if there were a way to unlock the stereo without the code, it would defeat the purpose of a "theft lock"...enabing bad guys to snatch your radio and be able to use it....whereas with the "theft lock" feature, if someone gets your radio, they'll have an expensive paperweight

Actually, there are several posts on this issue. I don't know the year range, so the process may not work on your particular radio. As a example, I am trying to unlock two Malibu radios right now and having no luck. If your radio is a RDS type unit, this process will NOT work.

Thanks Gw84 Unfortunately I Dont Have The Owners Manual I Guess Im Going To Have To Take It To Local Dealer . Unless Someone Has The Solution.
