Installing a Bodykit
Alright, I want to put a bodykit on my car but I am wondering how hard it will be. What is a good price and can you install it one piece at a time?(low funds!) And does anyone know how much it might cost to take it to a bodyshop to have it installed on. Thanks for any suggestions.

Re: Installing a Bodykit
Hmm it will usually cost about $800 for a complete set of bodykit to be shipped to your door...
Putting it on isnt hard, i did mine when i was 16, and i didnt had no help... just took about 6 hours just for the front bumper and took about 30 minutes for the sides and 2 hours for the back... The front was the SHIT... Dont buy crap bodykit that is on ebay, they are made outta fiberglass and they break and they chip and shit.. Buy from ground dynamics or something, oh also, get FRP bodykit, which is Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic.. |

Re: Installing a Bodykit
i just dont understand y people would install a bodykit when they know it wont be painted for awhile. my bodykit is going to run me around $750 made of a special material called vfiber, and when i get it, its getting installed and my whole car is going into paint asap. but that will sometime next summer.

Re: Installing a Bodykit
Mine was $940 shipped ( Urethane kits are real expensive) But have less fitment problems and go on quicker. I had mine on and just took it back off since i am striping my car down to the bare frame and fixing any corrosion spots. Its not that hard, but save your money and learn to do it on your own. I did.

Re: Installing a Bodykit
yeah since mine is a POS fiberglass everytime I take it off it bends back to normal, so i can't leave it off for more than like a week at a time or it will flex when I put it back on....

Re: Installing a Bodykit
I believe mine was FRP, thats why it wasnt hard to put on, and i must say, my fitment was GREAT! It was really easy, maybe because i bought it straight from Bomex Aero, its the Bomex kit and Bomex was the first that made it from scratch so they have the perfit fitment...
Everyone calls it the Bomber kit, BOMber kit, BOMex kit, get it? bunch of copiers... |
