04 Malibu LS Remote Start and Transmission Range Switch Issues

i have a 04 malibu LS and i am having trouble with the remote start not working i have checked the to see if remote start was on and it is still did not work. but i can turn the key to run (not starting it ) then take the key out, then use the remote starter and it will start but it will shut off all on its own in 2 sec. and also my low gear transmission range selections button doesnt work. any help and information would be very helpful!!!

hey there,
for what I had experienced on mine: when you turn on by remote 3 times and all of them the car times out and shut down it will take a 30 minutes "brake" before you can do it again.
I also experienced not being able to turn the car on on several ocasions I don't know why that happens but it pisses me off, tried messing with the options on menu but it is not that, what I noticed is the remote control wears down very quickly on battery when you use it a lot. also the turn on button shorts very quicly.
That's all I know, i don't know if reflects what you're experiencing.
My low gear owrks fine I use it all the time, specially when reducing on highway loops after passing slow paced people

i have a 2005 malibu LT and when i use the low gear the car doesnt shift into 4th gear...all others work fine but it wont shift to 4th...any ideas?? im stumped...thanks for help!

I would say you need to see the dealer, under warranty I hope.

Make sure your 2005 already has the option for the semi-automatic 4 gear. Make sure you don't have the old style like mine which is only until 3rd
