Re: winter/power button
the winter mode and power mode are two different shifting modes for the automatic transmission.
the winter mode: when you start off from a stop in D Drive, it puts the trans in third gear so that you are less likely to go skidding around when you start off in snowy or icy conditions. otherwise the shifting is normal once you get up to speed. the power mode: all it essentially does is change the shift points for the automatic transmission so you stay in the lower gears longer before upshifting. this has the affect of giving you more power and can be used around town or in the hills if your trans is hunting up and down gears and putting it into 3 third would be overkill. for either, it is easy enough to see if they are working. it will be obvious. try them out. if they work, then you know it's probably just the bulb or bulb circuit. if they don't work, then you can check the switch and then go from there. as for the harnesses and unused connectors. isuzu generally built each model with all the wiring, and used what it needed. so the particular ones you are seeing could be anything, from the power stuff, to cruise control, to ..... good luck //bc

Re: winter/power button
what have you done to tell whether these modes are operational? have you driven it and tried them yet?
btw, i don't know if i mentioned this to you or not. it seems you could do with getting the owners manual (the one that usually comes in the glove box). if you can't find one on Ebay for cheap, try the publisher for the isuzu owners manuals and factory service manuals www.helminc.com the owners manual will have all the info you are seeking and more. and the service manuals will have all the info for actually working on them if you are interested. //bc
