Going to look at a jeep and possibly buy it Issues
I was looking at this nice 2001 SE it has 52,700 miles 4 Cylinder Automatic. Anyways the truck is nice looking on the inside and out but underneath around the shocks there is some rust. Do you think this is an Issue? I plan on using it to get to my school and back and using to to MAYBE POSSIBLY to go off roading on these trails in my back yard which are not really tough. This truck has a Winch on it and it has some Nice Big Tires.

Re: Going to look at a jeep and possibly buy it Issues
Well it looks as if the jeep has been lifted, not a major concern, just check All the fluids, looking for any indication of metal, or leaks. With the 4 cylinder auto, they are good for daily commuters, off-roading, well they have to be ran a bit hard to get the performance that a 6 cyl. would give. I have one, my wife drives it everyday, and occasionally I will "abuse" it. This one is stock w 235/75 R15's, and the power issue is that of a 4 cylinder. IF you want a week-end mud toy and a desent commuter, I would look at a 6 cylinder, but the 4 cylider works well for a daily driver. WARNING, on average 12 MPG if your lucky, thats at a strict 55-60 MPH.
