I was curious if anyone here owns or has a friend who owns the new WRX, and what their impressions of the car are thus far?

It's hard to own a car which has been fully released to market yet, but those I know (dealers and from the media) that have driven them have been impressed.

I just spoke to a dealer here in Tallahassee, and he told me it's gonna be another 4 months.

Sorry for the delayed responce I've been away, we have had a brand new WRX (2008 new body style etc.) for 2 months now, not to mention I live in Saskatoon Saskatchewan, so not exactily the first place you would expect them to send one of the first cars.

Must see! I'm sitting in the parking lot of a friend's apartment complex right now looking at a 2008 Legacy GT 2.5 across from me. Gonna go look up the specs on that thing real quick as well as the new WRX.

I'll be near there tomorrow so i'll take my camera then, but i have to admit, that it does look better in the skin than in pictures, me buying one is a few years off, so i'm with-holding my test drive untill I'm in the market for one.

i have the 08 wrx.. vedy vedy nice.. but i want to get rid of the intake silencer.. so.. instead of starting a new thread.. i figured id ask in here.. ive been searching the old posts and it doesnt sound like the same set up as previous year intakes.. but i could easily be wrong.
can anyone help me out? as in.. how do i do it..

do you have a pic of the engine bay? Have you located the silencer?
