When you say windows, do you mean on a model car or are you referring to actual glass?
Depending on what type of window would determine your course of action.

Re: how to get rid of poly urathane paint?
You may be SOL on this one. Urathanes can be tough to remove. I'd give 99% isopropyl alcohol a try. But anything stronger than that and you're likely to damage the clear parts. Personally, I never would have tried thinner on clear plastic.
What are you building...?

I might suggest just getting a new "glass" part. it will be the easiest route.

Re: how to get rid of poly urathane paint?
Soak the piece overnight in DOT 3 brake fluid.
As you rinse it with water in the morning, use a stiff brush to remove the polyurethane paint. (Wear gloves. If it removes paint, just think what it does to skin!) I don't know what BF that will do to that particular plastic, so be ready to replace the piece if it destroys that one. Brake fluid costs about $1.50 and you can find it at any auto parts store. But keep it away from all painted surfaces! Didy Last edited by Didymus; 08-17-2007 at 08:31 PM. |
