'88 camry, snapped ebrake cable
88 camry with a snapped parking brake cable. I'd like to replace it, for inspection reasons, and parking reasons, because it's a standard, and the transmission is already dying. I can find one easily enough - there's a junkyard not far from where I live. But I'm not sure how to access it on the car.

Welcome to the forum. Your factory manual is waiting for you in the "Factory Service Manuals" thread at the top of the forum. It should tell you everything you need to know plus.
