Re: vortex exhaust for silverado

I was actually thinking that I should have tried this kind of muffler:
http://www.pickupspecialties.com/Aer...truck_2525.htm

I have the Magnaflow on my 5.3L as well but, had to put a High Flow Flowmaster Resonator on it to help with the in cabin resonance. At 1500 RPM it was unbearable in the cab. I was NOT Happy. If I was to do it again I would try the Aeroturbine or stick with Flowmaster...

Re: vortex exhaust for silverado

hm, my magnaflow is perfect, It could be a little louder outside, but it has a great rumble and inside its quiet

From the inside the windows were up. Just enough rumble to move the camera The damn clicking is my cameras shutter trying to block the sun...never noticed it was so loud. Its a good camera but when I compressed the video's they lost a lot of quality. From the outside I did a lil above 2k, then 4k rpms, It rarely farts at 2k just happen to do it today. The stock 5.3 exhaust came with individual cat's and had a 2 in 1 out muffler, I just replaced it with a 2 in 2 out magnaflow so i suppose its true dual. I kinda like the way both come out the same side, it grew on me

Re: vortex exhaust for silverado

That sounds mighty mean. I suppose that's what I should have done. My truck came with an original Cat back. So Single in Dual out. I should have found a way to do dual in dual out.

I'm really happy with the way mine sounds now and it's get's a little louder as it starts to really brake in. If I get some time I too will take some video...
