The check engine soon light came on because the guy at the gas station left the gas cap loose.
ABS light came on like 2 weeks after that. Any idea what it could be and how much it could cost? EXPED 4x4 2000 5.4L Thanks guys/gals |

Re: ABS and CHECK ENGINE SOON lights.
Check Engine Light s because of cap. ABS on the other hand could be a number of things without codes the best you can do is check wiring and for a possible loose or dirty sensor. Depending on what system you have, you can have up to four or three sensors. If three one on each front wheel and one on differential. If four well then obviously one on each wheel. Check them out and also don't forget to check the basics like brake fluid level, tire air pressures, and of course make sure all four tires are the same size.

Re: ABS and CHECK ENGINE SOON lights.
No after a certain amount of key cycles(on-off) and the problem is no longer detected the light will turn off on its own.
