Front bumper clear coat question

Hi all. My front bumper has a bunch of bugs marks on it. Apparently they were never cleaned quick enough. Now they pretty much mark down the clearcoat on the bumper. I tried scratch remover products and other things with no luck. The are just too deep in the clear coat. So anyone has any experience painting ? I was thinking removing the bumper and sand the clearcoat and spray paint the clearcoat on it. I don't know if this is a good idea and what grids of sand paper i need. I'm trying to avoid taking it to a paintshop but if there no other way then i'll take it. Thanks.

I'd like to acutally know this to I need to do my front and back bumper, the paint i have is acutally beginign to spider. But I know the ABC Plastic Material that the bumpers are made of doesnt use normal paint or is differnt. Any one have any experience what clear coats to get and what type of spay paint you can use?

I bought an arsenal of sap bug & tar remover and sap left stains as well.
If I try it, think I'd lightly wet sand with 600 grit (use a block where you can), then dry it and check for a dull but even color. Repeat as necessary. Then window cleaner to clean up. Then comes the clear coat with a lp gun. Go easy on any hardeners so it doesn't crack. The gloss probably won't match if I do it. If you need it perfect, see the man.

Yeah i'm taking it to the man. I did the license cover to try it out and it came out pretty good but it was a pain. It's going to only cost me 100 dollars so that's not too bad. Thanks for the replies guys.
