Tech help with main fuel line
Hey guys im not 100% if im in the right fourms but i need some seggestions or help should i say the main fuel line which hooks up to the bottem of the gas filter cracked im not sure if i want to replace it or if its possible to fix what i have. i was wondering if i can go to a local hardware store and buy new hose to run from the tank to the fire wall if so what kind should i use? or if i was to fix it can i use an compression adapter? and if not where can i get hose from to make this work because i really need a running car at the moment thanks alot for you time im sorry about the other posts

First, dont type in that big ass font.
Now, where exactly did it crack. Im think right after the fuel filter. How far? you might could cut that section out and use a small piece of fuel hose to connect them together. Other than that I dont know of anything with out replacing the whole line.

Im not even sure what car we are dealing with here. This the the line going from the filter to the tank or the the line going to the fuel rail. If you want to replace the whole line just order some steel braided line from jegs or something with the fittings you need. That would be the cheapest/best way I can think of. Shouldn't cost much more than 65 or so.

You could do braided line with all the proper adapters... If you do another stock hard line though, you can get it from a Mitsubishi dealership, assuming we are talking about an Eclipse here... After reading back through, you didn't mention a model or anything...

Either way, you're going to need a special high-pressure fuel line, whether it be a special braided FUEL line, or a hard line from the tank, but some hose and a compression fitting from your local hardware store will NOT work, and you'd probably catch your car on fire after that baby broke and spewed fuel all over the hot engine.

Hey well ill get my facts straight lol its a eclipse gsx and im talking about the hard line running from the tank ro thr filter not the line that goes from the filter to the injectors well anyway it cracked about 4 inches down of the gas filter i was hindering if i can hook up a different fuelline like a bigger one from the tank to the filter i have a stock fuel pump i was just wondering so i can get more fuel i guess can you guy give me a few web sites that i can order the line from i most likely want an aftermarket line steel braided. along with the line comming from the injectors to the filter thanks for your time

If I was you I would just replace it with a stock part. Its a small line and wont cost that much. The stock lines will deliver plenty of fuel. Im not even sure what they max out at but it will take a lot. If you want more fuel just get a bigger fuel pump. But if you want to upgrade I would order the parts from Jegs. You could probably go with a 4AN line. You could go with a 6AN but that might be a little overkill.

I would just replace it with another stock hard line. It will support plenty of flow for as much fuel as you will ever need on that car. Also, its dirt cheap to get another hard line as opposed to braided line and fittings...
