Early ecilpse life
Hey everyone. i am considering getting a later model eclipse and i was wondering what was the adverage life of an older eclipse would be (milage). also wht would be the limit do you people think would be the limit to not even bother doing n e thing to the cars performance.

Depends... Are you looking for a 1g 90-94, a 2g 95-99, or a 3g 2000+?
1g's and 2g's offered the turbo awd models. While 3g's have none available... Turbo awd, 1g's and 2g's can be built into some very powerful cars.

It entirely depends on how the car has been taken care of. I tore down a motor with 105k with good cylinder walls and a perfect crank. However, the car I got had 120k and had a recently rebuilt motor in it.
If/when you find a car, look it over good and do a compression test. If the compression is good, I would say it should be a good platform to go from. Just be sure to mod smart. |
