Transmission Range Switch Issue

runaround I have a 2003 Malibu that I have a question on. The check engine light came on recently and I had the code read. It seems that my TSR (transmission range switch) is having issues. When it comes on, the transmission between first and second takes a long time to slip into second and then all through the rest, it feels as though the transmission is slamming against the engine. Is this a common issue on Malibu's or did I just get lucky?

Re: Transmission Range Switch Issue

If I remember correctly, it is a P1815. After an extensive search on the internet including this forum because the code reader didn't display what it meant, I learned that it was (hopefully) the range switch.
