96' oil cooler lines/oil filter mount

i have a 96 k2500. 3/4 ton 454ci.

my lower inlet hose busted. i have removed it from the radiator but i am having a hard time getting it lose from underneath the vehicle. the oil filter mount is in the way. does that come off easily? if so, how?

also, how is the hose atatched to the engine? i can see the plastic ring. is that all that is holding it in? i was told the plastic ring is a dealer part. i have alrady purchased the line and there is no ring on it.

any help would be appreciated.

(i need to fix this so I can sell it!)

Re: 96' oil cooler lines/oil filter mount

the oil filter housing will just ubolt, I belive it has a large o ring too, so it might take a little bump with a hammer once the bolts are out.
